Sandra Ann “Sandy” France, age 67, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 8:10 A.M. on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, in her home after a brief illness. Mrs. France graduated from Lunenburg, Massachusetts, High School in 1964 and attended Fitchburg State College in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. She was active with the Girl Scouts, serving as a leader, den mother and Brownie leader, and also was an elementary school room mother. As a huge Elvis fan, she enjoyed her many pilgrimages to Graceland. Sandy was formerly employed by First National Bank, Ringer’s Pharmacy and Allied Moulded in Bryan and was a member of the Scout David Williams Chapter #4102 Daughters of American Revolution. She enjoyed painting with oils, spending time with her grandkids and great-grandson and decorating cakes for their special occasions. Sandra Ann “Sandy” France was born on March 10, 1947, in Leominster, Massachusetts, the daughter of Chester C. and Patricia Ann (Schmitt) Burpee. She married Rodney C. France in June 15, 1966, in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and he survives. Survivors also include her children, Rod France, Jr., of Las Vegas, Nevada, Tiffany (Eric) Slavka, of Washington, Pennsylvania, and Patrick France, of Haskins, Ohio; three grandchildren, Jeff Slavka and Rachel Slavka, of Washington, Pennsylvania, Ryan France, of Montpelier, Ohio; her great-grandson, Aaron Rush, of Washington, Pennsylvania; and one sister, Patricia (Ross) France, of Petersham, Massachusetts. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2014, from 1:00-4:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Services will follow in the funeral home, beginning at 4:00 P.M. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Alzheimer’s Foundation, DAR Chapter #4102 or Community Health Professionals Hospice Care.
