Larry M. “Smiley” Muehlfeld, age 75, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 6:13 P.M. on Monday, June 2, 2014, at the University of Toledo Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio, after a brief illness. Mr. Muehlfeld was a 1957 graduate of Edon High School and was employed by the Williams County Highway Department as a dispatcher, retiring with 30 years of service. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council #3883 of Blakeslee, a former member of the Bryan Eagles and was a dedicated fan of the Cleveland Indians and of local high school sports. Known in all the local coffee shops, Larry enjoyed his daily rounds of visiting with friends and having a cup of coffee. Larry M. Muehlfeld was born near Edgerton, Ohio, on November 14, 1938, the son of Carl A. and Margaret M. (Gibson) Muehlfeld. Survivors include four brothers, Loren (Yvonne) Muehlfeld, of Edon, Ohio, Phil (Denise) Muehlfeld, of Montpelier, Ohio, Keith (Karen) Muelfeld, of North Augusta, South Carolina, and Mike (Gretchen) Muehlfeld, of Anna, Ohio; three sisters, Rosemary (Robert) Venezia, of North Palm Beach, Florida, Carol (Tom) Letzelter, of Columbus, Ohio, and Carlene (Ron) Reese, of Bryan; and numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew, Steve Muehlfeld. Services for Larry M. “Smiley” Muehlfeld will be held on Friday, June 6, 2014, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bryan. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2014, from 2:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, with recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 A.M., in the church. Interment will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery, Blakeslee, Ohio. Memorials are requested to St. Patrick Catholic Church.
