Inez E. Vitale, age 92, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away at 4:35 A.M. on Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice, Defiance, Ohio, where she had been a patient. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bryan, where she helped prepare and serve funeral dinners for many years, helped start the Church Women United Thrift Shop, was a former member of Orchard Hills Country Club and was an avid golfer. She was “the best cook ever” and was famous for her strawberry pie! Inez was a registered nurse and worked in pediatrics in St. Louis before moving to Bryan. Inez was born on October 15, 1921, in Mount Clare, Illinois, the daughter of Olindo and Josephine (Bernardi) Bellettini. On June 16, 1951, she married Maurice E. Vitale in Benld, Illinois, and he preceded her in death on December 2, 2008. Inez is survived by her daughter, Mary E. Vitale, of Bryan. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant son, James Vitale, a brother and her sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Inez E. Vitale on Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bryan, with Father James Halleron officiating. Visitation will be held in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, on Monday, June 9, 2014, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. with recitation of the Rosary at 7:45 P.M. Burial at Fountain Grove Cemetery will follow the service. Memorial contributions are requested to Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice, St. Patrick Catholic Church or the Williams County Humane Society.
