Marshall J. McClain, age 41, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 9:20 P.M. on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where he was patient, after an extended illness. Marshall was a 1990 graduate of Edgerton High School and received an Associate Degree in accounting from Northwest State Community College. He was employed by A-Stamp Industries as a Business Unit Coordinator since 2005. Passionate about sports, Marshall was an avid softball player, formerly playing for K.K. Collision in Liberty Center, Ohio, and was a devoted fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, the San Francisco 49ers and especially the Detroit Tigers. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge #1246 in Defiance, Ohio. Marshall J. McClain was born on September 25, 1972, in Wauseon, Ohio, the son of David and Deborah (Beck) McClain. He married Sherri L. Pierce on January 28, 2014, in Edgerton and she survives. Survivors also include his parents, David and Deborah McClain, of Edgerton, one sister, Mandi McClain, also of Edgerton, his grandfather, Clifford McClain, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Patsy Beck and Mary McClain. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2014, from 2:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton. Services celebrating the life of Marshall McClain will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2014, at 2:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, with Pastor George Goller officiating. Private in interment will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton. Memorials are requested to the family for the benefit of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
