Jeremy D. Traxler

June 2, 1977 — May 19, 2014

Jeremy D. Traxler, age 36, of Columbus, Ohio, and formerly of Bryan, Ohio, died at 1:25 A.M. on Monday, May 19, 2014, after a brief illness, at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, where he was a patient. Jeremy was a 1996 graduate of Bryan High School and received his Associate’s Degree in Accounting from Northwest State Community College. He went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, in 2004. Following graduation from Wright State, he was employed as a Senior Accounting Technician for Aerospace Fuels with DAFS, a U.S. Department of Defense Installation. He was the lead trainer when new payment systems were rolled out for accounts payable within DAFS. During his nine-year tenure at DAFS, he received several awards, among them being the 2006 Federal Executive Association of People with Disabilities award, the APDA customer service award, which he received twice, as well as being honored many times with his “On-the-Spot Award” for his outstanding training of new defense payment systems to several teams within accounts payable. Jeremy was also singled out many times by the Director of Aerospace with DLA for his attention to detail and ensuring that the backlog of invoices within Aerospace Fuels were researched and paid in a timely manner. He was the “Go To” person for his team for questions with research because of his vast knowledge of all the different accounts payable systems and willingness to drop everything to assist co-workers. Jeremy loved the outdoors, taking long walks and especially all the festivals in Columbus. He also enjoyed Broadway shows, his favorite being “Phantom of the Opera,” keeping in touch with everyone through Facebook, watching his favorite TV shows, especially the Amazing Race, which describes his amazing, but too short, life. Jeremy D. Traxler was born on June 2, 1977, in Hicksville, Ohio, the son of Camilla G. Miller and Kyle D. Traxler. His survivors include his parents, Camilla (and her husband, Kurt Roan) Miller, of Bryan, and Kyle D. Traxler, of Montpelier, Ohio; his grandparents, William (Linda) Miller, of Bryan, Lyle (Delores) Traxler, of Montpelier, and Dee Roan, of Bryan; his best friend, care giver and roommate, Ron Shanks, of Columbus; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
