Rose G. O’Dell, age 69, of Butler, Indiana, died at 4:05 P.M. on Friday, May 9, 2014, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where she was a patient, after a brief illness. Mrs. O’Dell was a homemaker an had become a minister in 2010. She was a member of the Butler Church of Christ. Rose G. O’Dell was born on September 3, 1944, in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Stephen John and Georgette Rose (Sandominick) Konkowski. She married Sanford S. Steiler on March 24, 1984, in Warwick, New York, and he survives. Survivors also include her four children, Rosemary Watkins, of Unionville, New York, Ramona Moore, of Deer, Arkansas, Catherine Perrone, of Walden, New York, and Timothy Scheu, of Butler; twelve grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Donald Francis Konkowski, of Phillipsburg, New Jersey, and Anthony Konkowski, of Tannersville, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by one son, Anthony William Scheu, three brothers and one sister. Memorials services will be held on Monday, May 12, 2014, at 10:00 A.M. in the Butler Church of Christ with Pastor John Schaff officiating. Interment will be private. Memorials are requested to the American Cancer Society.
