Zelda A. Higley

Zelda A. (Spangler) Higley, age 89, of Williams Center, Ohio, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2014. She was a homemaker and a member of the Williams Center United Methodist Church. Zelda was born on December 13, 1924, in Defiance County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Robert R. and Edith E. (Crawford) Spangler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Higley and their son, Randy Higley. Her sisters, Frieda Lorntz and Undine Donze and her brothers, Herbert and Carl Spangler also preceded her in death. Zelda is survived by her daughters, Vicki (Paul) Groves, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Cherryll (Tom) Carroll, of Pemberville, Ohio and Kay (Rick) Saaf, of Williams Center; a son, Robert (Deborah) Higley, of Williams Center; 11grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter. Funeral services for Zelda A. Higley will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2014, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan with Pastor Kent Replogle officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 A.M. on Thursday, prior to the service. Burial at Williams Center Cemetery will follow the service. Memorial contributions are requested to the Williams County Humane Society or an organization of the donor’s choice.
