Christine L. Rice

Christine L. (Lilly) Rice, age 61, of Bryan, Ohio, and formerly of Ney, Ohio, passed away at 1:50 A.M. on Thursday, April 24, 2014, at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice in Defiance, Ohio. Christine received an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts from Northwest State. She had numerous professions and most recently was in management of the Nursery Department at Lowe’s in Defiance. Christine Luree was born on May 6, 1952, in Bryan, Ohio, the daughter of Carl E. and Caroline M. (Ensign) Lilly. She is survived by her daughters, Emily (Michael) Meyer, of Defiance, and Tiffany Rice, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; granddaughter, Maeci Meyer, of Defiance; sisters, Cynthia (Joseph) Kiacz, of Bryan, Cathie (Paul) Browning, of Sugar Grove, Ohio, Celeste (Thomas) Rossman, of Farmer, and Cara Lilly, of Williams Center; brother, Clay Lilly, of Plano, Texas; and her parents, Carl and Caroline Lilly, of Farmer. She was preceded in death by her brother, Chet Lilly, in 1991. Grave side funeral services for Christine L. Rice will be held on Monday, April 28, 2014, at 11:00 A.M. at Farmer Cemetery, near Farmer, Ohio, with Pastor Mary Jo Rossman-Bray officiating. Krill Funeral Service, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, has been entrusted with her services. Memorial contributions are requested to the Alzheimer’s Association or Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice Center.
