Lawrence M. "Larry" Lockwood, age 59, of rural Edon, Ohio, died at 1:22 A.M. on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, shortly after admittance to Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan, Ohio. Mr. Lockwood was most recently employed by Mansion Homes and formerly worked for Fleetwood Industries in Auburn, Indiana. He was a longtime Scout Master with Troop #29 in Edgerton, Ohio, and enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family. Lawrence M. Lockwood was born on October 19, 1954, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the son of Harold L. and Winifred E. (Gaines) Lockwood, Sr. He married Loretta M. Miller on April 20, 1985, in Edgerton and she preceded him in death on April 8, 1998. Survivors include two sons, Kevin Lockwood and Michael (Erika) Lockwood, both of Edon; one daughter, Ashley (Chase) Roberts, also of Edon; five grandchildren, Christopher Lockwood, Carter Lockwood, Chase Roberts, Cayden Lockwood, and Loretta Roberts; two brothers, Harold (Teresa) Lockwood, Jr. of Schoolcraft, Michigan, and Arnold (Rita) Lockwood of Three Rivers, Michigan; two sisters, Millie Goodoff, of Vacaville, California, and Janet Guiter, also of Schoolcraft; a sister-in-law, Sharon Lockwood, of Vicksburg, Michigan; and a brother-in-law, Don Wills, of Kalamazoo, Michigan. He was also preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Keith Lockwood, and a sister, Carol Wills. An End of Life Celebration will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014, from 2:00-8:00 P.M. at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Edgerton. Memorials may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice.
