Dennis L. Rummel, age 53, of Edon, Ohio, died at 3:55 A.M. on Sunday, April 20, 2014, at Genesis HealthCare-Bryan, where he was a patient, from injuries sustained in a traffic accident in 2008. Mr. Rummel was a 1978 graduate of Montpelier High School and was employed as a tool and die maker with Regent Manufacturing in Edgerton, Ohio, until the time of his accident. He was an avid motorcyclist, a NASCAR fan, especially with Jeff Gordon, and was a devout family man. Dennis L. Rummel was born on September 13, 1960, in Angola, Indiana, the son of Richard H. and Eva L. (Perry) Rummel. He married Sandy J. Jaggers April 18, 1981, at Nettle Lake United Brethren Church and she survives. Survivors also include one daughter, Alicia (Scott) Roberts, of Edon; one son, Austin (Katherine) Rummel, of Bryan, Ohio; four grandchildren, Brianna Rhoden, Kyla, Korbin and Kastin Rummel; and two sisters, Sandra (Joe) Jacobs, of Cooney, Ohio, and Karen (Glenn) Humphrey, of Montpelier, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, from 2:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Homel in Edon. Services will be held in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon, on Thursday, April 24, 2014, at 1:30 P.M. with Pastor Roger Marlow officiating. Interment will follow in the Edon Cemetery. Memorials are requested to the family for medical expenses.
