Muriel E. Wagner, age 94, of Bryan, Ohio, and formerly of Defiance, Ohio, passed away at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at Genesis HealthCare in Bryan. She was a homemaker, attended the Union Chapel Church of God, and enjoyed playing cards and bingo, making crafts, and spending time with her family. Muriel will be remembered as a loving wife and mother and a hilarious grandmother, greeting everyone she encountered with a smile, her generosity and a big welcome to anyone entering her home. Muriel was a twin and she and her twin sister each had twins. Muriel was born on December 9, 1919, in Delphos, Ohio, the daughter of Edward and Mary (Aumick) Winans. She married Harold James Wagner in 1940 and he preceded her in death in 1998. Muriel is survived by her children, Mary (Jerry) Walsh, of Bryan, Dennis (Sandra) Wagner, of Defiance, and Diane (Patrick) Weidenhamer, of Hamilton, Indiana; daughter-in-law, Madaline Wagner, of Defiance; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; her twin sister, Pearl Pollock, of Haines City, Florida; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Larry Wagner; two great-grandchildren; two brothers; and a sister. Funeral services for Muriel E. Wagner will be held on Friday, April 18, 2014, at 7:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, with Pastor Dennis Jones officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Friday, prior to the service. Memorial contributions are requested to the Union Chapel Church of God or an organization of the donor’s choice.
