Donald W. Disbro, age 99, formerly of Edon, Ohio, died at 11:53 A.M. on Friday, April 11, 2014, at Caretel Inns, in Brighton, Michigan, where he was a resident. A graduate of Edon High School, he spent his entire career as a salesman with Bostwick Braun Co. in Toledo, Ohio. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. His memberships had included the Edon Lions Club, Edon American Legion Post 662 and the D.A.V. Born on January 15, 1915, in Edon, Ohio, Donald was the son of Ted E. and Susan (Kintigh) Disbro. He married Ilah (Darr) Disbro, who preceded him in death. He then married Frances (Simm) Disbro and after her death married Rolene (Long) Disbro, who also preceded him in death. Mr. Disbro is survived by one son, Joel (Sharron) Disbro, of South Lyon, Michigan; two grandchildren, Derek Disbro, of Atlanta, Georgia, and Danica (Samuel) Nead, of Hillsdale, Michigan; and one great-grandchild, Mason Nead. Preceding him in death in addition to his wives were two brothers, Wayne Disbro and John Disbro. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon, Ohio, with services to begin at 1:30 P.M., with Pastor Roger Marlow officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Montpelier, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church or a charity of the donor’s choice.
