B. Lucille Osmun, age 91, of rural Edon, Ohio, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2014, at 9:15 P.M., shortly after admittance to Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Montpelier, Ohio. She was a graduate of Mark Center High School, a mother and homemaker and devoted farm wife. She also enjoyed attending auctions, flea markets, reading Amish novels, mowing her lawn and the many trips she and her husband took in their motor home. She was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church in Hicksville, Ohio. B. Lucille Osmun was born on January 31, 1922, in Mark Center, Ohio, the daughter of Fred and Florence (Carver) Wonderly. She married her husband of seventy years, Deloy LaVerl Osmun, on January 21, 1942, and he preceded her in death on February 9, 2012. Survivors include three sons, Dennis Osmun, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Don (Deb) Osmun, of Edon, and David (Robin Deitemeyer) Osmun, of Lake Seneca, Ohio; four daughters, Gloria (Jim) Gilcher, of Kunkle, Ohio, Delores Parish, of Hicksville, Judy (Lee) Baatz, of Columbia City, Indiana, and Sandi (Dean) Nelson, of Denver, North Carolina; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Phyllis Burd, of Edon, and Maxine Potter, of Huntertown, Indiana. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Claron Wonderly, and a great-grandson, Craig Campbell. A Celebration of Life gathering celebrating the lives of Deloy and Lucille Osmun will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2014, at the Montpelier Presbyterian Church from 2:00-5:00 P.M., with a memorial service being held at 4:30 P.M. in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to either the Edon Food Pantry, c/o the Edon Area Ministerial Association, or to the Edon FFA.
