Doris I. Stover-Roesch

Doris I. Stover-Roesch, age 94, of West Unity, Ohio, died at 7:19 P.M. on Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at Hillside Country Living, where she was a resident. She was a member of the Bryan Alliance Church and the West Unity Lioness Club. Doris had worked as a waitress at several area restaurants and had previously worked at Hayes-Albion, 50+5 Division and Dutch Village in West Unity. She baby-sat many children in her lifetime. Born on July 3, 1919, in Seneca Township, Michigan, she was the daughter of Wilfred and Elizabeth (Tietz) Brewer. She attended Pioneer High School, where she was on the basketball team. On October 14, 1936, she married Donald Stover, Sr. in Angola, Indiana, and he preceded her in death on July 26, 1991. She later married Delmer Roesch on November 7, 1992, and he preceded her in death on January 10, 2005. Doris is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Duane) King, of Bryan; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; fourteen great-great-grandchildren; stepsons, Eugene (Vanessa) Roesch, of Middleboro, Tennessee, Norman (Jane) Roesch, of West Unity, and Robert (Connie) Roesch, of Bryan; brothers, Roger (Theo) Brewer, of Morenci, Michigan, and Ron (Sue) Brewer, of Bryan; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, her son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Thelma Stover, Jr., four brothers and five sisters. A service celebrating the life of Doris I. Stover-Roesch will be held on Monday, November 25, 2013, at 1:00 P.M. in the Bryan Alliance Church with Pastor Gary Keisling officiating. Grave side services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday at Frontier Cemetery, Camden, Michigan, prior to the church service. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, from 1:00-5:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 24, 2013. Memorials in the name of Doris I. Stover-Roesch may be given to the Bryan Alliance Church or the Hillside Country Living Activity Fund.
