Reginald “Slim” R. Ridgway, age 83, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 9:39 A.M. on Sunday, November 3, 2013, at Evergreen Manor in Montpelier, Ohio. Mr. Ridgway was journeyman lineman and partner in Ridgway Brothers Electric. After his retirement, he assisted the Village of Edgerton with electrical consulting. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Korean War. Slim was a member of the local United Brotherhood of Electrical Workers union. Reginald R. Ridgway was born on May 8, 1930, in West Unity, Ohio, the son of Charles Fremont and Audrey Luella (Connolly) Ridgway. Surviving are one son, Ray Ridgway, of Bryan; three step-children, Terri (Jeff) Violet, of St. Peters, Missouri, Bill Rose, of Jersey City, New Jersey, and Toni Rose, of Auburn, Indiana; one brother, Paul (Victoria) Ridgway, of Bryan; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Gerald, Freddie and Kenneth. Services for Reginald “Slim” R. Ridgway will be held on Friday, November 8, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio, with Pastor David Falls officiating. Interment will follow in Fountain Grove Cemetery, Bryan, where grave side military rites will be provided by Bryan VFW Post #2489. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2013, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Memorials in the name of Reginald “Slim” R. Ridgway may be given to the Wounded Warrior Project or Feed the Children.
