Luella M. Burris, age 95, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 11:50 A.M. on Monday, October 28, 2013, in her home after a brief illness. She retired from Community Hospitals and Wellness Center in Bryan as an environmental technician after sixteen years of service. She was a member of the Sherwood United Methodist Church, the Bryan Senior Center and Bryan Eagles Aerie #2233. Luella was a talented seamstress and loved to sew for her family. Born on June 4, 1918, she was the daughter of Benjamin E. and Lida (Baldwin) Michael. She graduated from and was valedictorian of her class at Mark Center High School. On November 15, 1938, she married Harry Burris in Defiance, Ohio, and he preceded her in death in 1984. Luella is survived by her son, Roger (Linda) Burris, of Bryan; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; sons-in-law, Bill Cantrell, of Napoleon, Ohio, and Tim Peter, of Edgerton, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughters, Janet Cantrell, Linda Sidenbender and Kathleen Peter; a granddaughter, Debra Colon; six sisters; and five brothers. Visitation for Luella M. Burris will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2013, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 1, 2013, at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Charles Alley officiating. Burial will follow the service at Sherwood Cemetery. Memorials in the name of Luella M. Burris may be given to the Bryan Senior Center, Cancer Assistance for Williams County or Visiting Nurses and Hospice of Williams and Fulton Counties.
