Judith Ann Lorntz, age 72, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2013, at her home. Judy had retired from the Williams County Auditor’s Office as a Deputy Auditor. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, was a 30-year member of Wesley United Methodist Church, and was very active in the Classic Feathers Bird Club and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She was very interested in genealogy, having found that she was a 6th generation niece of Daniel Boone and was related to the singers, Pat and Debbie Boone. Judith was born on November 18, 1940, in Fremont, Indiana, the daughter of John Franklin and Ora Gladys (Murphy) Saurer. She is survived by her children, Karen Ford, of Bryan, Pamela Ely, of Bryan, and David Lorntz and fiancee Helen Johnson, of Bryan; grandchildren, David “Tony” (Sean Sauder) Lorntz, of Bryan, Brock Thourot, of Sharon, Wisconsin, Chelsea (Ryan) Gladieux, of Fairfax Station, Virginia, Angela (Andrew) Deeds, of Bryan, and Corbin Lorntz, of Montpelier; six great-grandchildren, Noah, Gabrielle, Kayleb, Tyler, Chloe and Leonard; former husband, Daryle Lorntz; former daughters-in-law, Tammy Lorntz, of Bryan, and Holly Tussing, of Montpelier; brother, John (Jean) Saurer, of Odessa, Texas, and sister, Carol (Jerry) Rhoades, of Andrews, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Paul G. Saurer and Clinton Saurer, and an infant sister, Joy Saurer. Visitation for Judith Ann Lorntz will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2013, from 2:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September, 21, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Farmer Cemetery. Gifts in memory of Judith Ann Lorntz may be given to the Classic Feathers Bird Club.
