Ronald H. Brenneman, age 82, died on Thursday, September 12, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. in his grandson’s home near Bryan, surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was a laborer with Brust Pipeline in Bryan, Ohio, for many years. Ronald was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean War, and received a Purple Heart for wounds received in combat. He was a life member of VFW Post #9289 in St. Marys, Ohio. Ronald H. Brenneman was born on August 15, 1931, in Allen County, Ohio, the son of Henry and Clara (Morris) Brenneman. He married Waldine E. Burkholder on March 14, 1959, in Angola, Indiana, and she survives. Surviving in addition to his wife are his sons, Timothy Brenneman, of Montpelier, and Henry Brenneman, of West Unity, Ohio; daughters, Rhonda (Mike) Wright, of Blakeslee, Ohio, and Doris Brenneman, of Bryan; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and a step-brother, Roger Wagner, of Ohio City, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Martha Brenneman; sisters, Jean Doyle and June Doyle; step-brother, Don Wagner, and his step-mother, Lucille Brenneman. In accordance with Ronald’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Grave side services will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Tuesday, September 17, 2013, at Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton, Ohio, with military rites conducted by Bryan VFW Post #2489. Arrangements have been entrusted to Krill Funeral Service, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio. Contributions in Ronald’s memory may be made to the family.
