W. DeWayne Dick, age 85, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 8:07 A.M. at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana, after a brief illness. Mr. Dick was employed as a machinist at Mohawk Tools in Montpelier, Ohio, retiring in 2000 with thirty-seven years of service. He was a model train enthusiast and an avid Nascar fan and enjoyed flying. W. DeWayne Dick was born on January 20, 1928, in Butler, Indiana, the son of Waldo and Gertrude (Rosenberry) Dick. He married DeFloy Furrow on July 3, 1954, in Angola, Indiana, and she survives. Survivors also include one daughter, Debbie (Todd) Augsburger, of Bryan; two sons, David (Kayla) Dick, of Wauseon, Ohio, and Dennis Dick, of Bryan; four grandchildren, Christopher Dick, Ashley Dick, Amber Dick, and Jeremy McDaniel; and one sister, Virginia Krill, of Mesa, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, Eugene Dick, and one grandson, Joshua McDaniel. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 26, 2013, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Services will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, with Pastor Jeff Sheldon officiating. Interment will follow in Shiffler Cemetery near Bryan. Memorials are requested to the American Diabetes Association or to the American Cancer Society.
