Elizabeth "Betty" Martindale

Elizabeth “Betty” M. Martindale, age 76, of Defiance, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at the Laurels of Defiance, where she had been a resident. Betty was a homemaker. Born August 20, 1937, in Jackson, Michigan, she was the daughter of Hazel (Wheeler) and Harold Chambers. She married AJ Martindale on November 16, 1956, in Saginaw, Michigan, and he preceded her in death. Surviving Betty are a daughter, Terri Helberg, of Defiance, Ohio; a grandson, Cory (Nicki) Federspiel, of Fort Wayne, Indiana; great-granddaughters, Kaitlyn, Alyssa and Madison Federspiel, all of Fort Wayne, and a brother, Terry (Helen) Curtis, of St. Louis, Missouri. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandsons, Adam and Andrew Federspiel, two brothers and a sister. According to Betty’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services held. Krill Funeral Service, 860 West Mulberry Street in Bryan, Ohio, has been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorials in the name of Elizabeth “Betty” M. Martindale may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
