Juan O. Gonzales, age 69, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 8:24 P.M. on Saturday, July 6, 2013, shortly after admittance to Cameron Memorial Hospital in Angola, Indiana, after a sudden illness. Mr. Gonzales was employed for twenty-two years as a welder with Challenge-Cook and then went to work for Sauder Woodworking, retiring with twenty years of service. As an accomplished welder, he enjoyed spending time fabricating in his shop. He also enjoyed hunting and the wildlife and was a member of Bryan Eagles Aerie #2233. Juan Gonzales was born on April 3, 1944, in Donna, Texas, the son of Fausto and Marcela (Orta) Gonzales. He married Bonnie M. Hoffman on October 27, 1978, in Bryan, and she survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Juanita (Terry) Mocherman, of Hamilton, Indiana, Marcella (Frank) Mullins, of Edon, Ohio, and Rejina (Michael) Holiday, also of Hamilton; three sons, Juan (Heather) Gonzales, of Angola, Matthew Gonzales, of Edon, and Joshua Gonzales, of Bryan; three stepsons, Stan (Janice) Rice, of Henderson, Nevada, Scott (Brenda) Rice, of Montpelier, Ohio, and Kevin (Sherri) Rice, of Edon; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Jose Gonzales, of San Antonio, Texas; five sisters, Mary Lou Camero, of Donna, Texas, Julia Zamarripa, of Lindsey, Ohio, Maria Christina Mata, Delia Gonzales, and Regina Parker, all of Donna, Texas, and one half brother, Theodoro Gonzales, of McAllen, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, four half brothers, one half sister, one stepson, Frank Rice, and one great-grandson, Jace Moll. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, from 2:00-5:00 and 6:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Services will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan. Interment will be private. Memorials are requested to a charity of the donor’s choice.
