Glen R. Frank, Sr., age 82, of Edon, Ohio, died at 5:14 A.M. on Tuesday, June 18, 2013, shortly after admittance to Community Hospitals and Wellness Center in Bryan. Mr. Frank was a 1949 graduate of Edon High School and served with the United States Marines during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Mount Union Church near Edon and was an avid bowler, enjoyed bird watching and was a Civil War enthusiast. Glen R. Frank, Sr. was born on March 29, 1931, near Pettisville, Ohio, the son of S. Floyd and Hazel (Severence) Frank. He married Beverly S. Allison on June 16, 1956, in Bryan, Ohio, and she survives. Survivors also include three sons, Glen R. (Vicky) Frank, Jr., of Stryker, Ohio, Gregory R. (Karen) Frank, of Bryan, and Gary R. Frank, of Maumee, Ohio; one daughter, Gina R. (Scott) Kerns, of Canal Fulton, Ohio; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one sister Mildred (Don) Ireland, of Angola, Indiana. Visitation will be held in the Krill Funeral Home in Edon, Ohio, from 3:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday, June 21, 2013. Services will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2013, at 1:30 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon, with Pastor Walter Hicks officiating. Interment will follow in the Edon Cemetery with grave side military rites conducted by the Edon American Legion. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Sunshine Incorporated, Maumee, Ohio, or to the Mount Union Church.
