Nile LaVon Day, age 92, of Bryan, died Friday, May 31, 2013, at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers of Bryan. Mr. Day was the owner of Day & Day Oil Company. He was a World War II veteran serving in the Pacific Theater with the US Army. LaVon was born on February 28, 1921, in Edgerton, Ohio, the son of Ivan E. and Cora (Oberlin) Day. He married Patsy R. Casebere on August 25, 1946, in Edgerton and she survives. Also surviving are his sons, Lee A. (Jodi) Day, of Lebanon, Ohio, Dean A. (Rose) Day, of Clear Lake, Indiana; grandchildren, Trevor Day, of Charlotte, North Carolina, Clinton Day, of Lebanon and McKenzie Day, of Columbus, Ohio. LaVon was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Max E. Day and sister, Maxine Ford. In accordance with LaVon’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services held at this time. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio. Memorials are requested to the Bryan Senior Center.
