Vester L. Hylton, 99, of Edon passed away April 27, 2013, at Community Health Professionals In-patient Hospice, Defiance. He was a welder who worked in the steel yards that were used in constructing the Golden Gate Bridge and the Neighborhood Community Church in California. He worked for many years at Peterson Tractor working on earth moving equipment. He was a member of Operating Engineers Local #3. Born March 3, 1914, in Aukum, California, he was the youngest of 13 children of Alva and Maggie (Lyon) Hylton. He married Agnes Bernice Blankenship and she preceded him in death. Locally, his survivors include his granddaughter, Monique (Tony) Tressler, of Edon. Entombment will be in Chapel of the Chimes Cemetery, Hayward, California. Krill Funeral Home, Edon, is assisting the family.
