Floyd O. Miller, age 78, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 7:47 P.M. on Friday, April 26, 2013, at Community Health Partners In-patient Hospice in Defiance. Mr. Miller was employed as a tool and die maker and supervisor at Edgerton Manufacturing for 28 years and retired from Spangler Candy Company in Bryan. For several years he ran F&K Auto with his son in Edgerton. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Edgerton and Knights of Columbus Council #1494 and was a former member of the Hicksville Eagles Aerie #2556. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Floyd was born on November 30, 1934, in Edgerton, the son of Quentin L. “Q.L.” and Ursula (Gebhard) Miller. He married Myrna L. Phillips on February 19, 1955, and she preceded him in death on October 19, 2000. Floyd is survived by his sons, Robert A. Miller, of Edgerton, and Keven L. (Susan) Miller, of Edgerton; two daughters, Beth L. (Steven) Staley, of Edgerton, and Fay A. (Nick) Hageman, of Bryan; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one sister, Lorraine (Norm) Beattie, of Defiance, and a brother, Tom H. (Connie) Miller, of Edgerton. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a daughter, Loretta Lockwood, a sister, Zelda Miller, and a brother, Duane Miller. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, from 2:00-4:00 P.M. and 6:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton. A Rosary service will be held at 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday. Services will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. in St. Mary Catholic Church, Edgerton, with Father David Cirata officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Memorials in the name of Floyd O. Miller may be given to Community Health Partners In-patient Hospice.
