Texas McCauley

Texas McCauley, age 76, of Hicksville, Ohio, died at 8:30 A.M. on Friday, April 12, 2013, surrounded by her family at Genesis Health Care in Bryan, Ohio, where she was a patient. Mrs. McCauley was employed by Western Union as a teletypist for many years, was also a longtime nurses aide and was a licensed beautician. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family. Texas McCauley was born on January 9, 1937, in Leslie, Kentucky, the daughter of Roscoe and Dotia (Howard) Jett. Survivors include one son, Brent Snell, of Hicksville; two grandchildren, Christy (Shawn) Snell-Asher, of Hicksville, and Jason Snell, of Columbia City, Indiana; two great-grandchildren, Serena Snell and Damian Asher; two stepgrandchildren, Hope Frederick and Billy Frederick, both of Harlan, Indiana, and three stepgreat-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Kimloy Jay Snell, on October 5, 2011, one brother, Bruce Jett, and her two husbands, Donn Snell and Thomas McCauley. Services celebrating the life of Texas McCauley will be held at a later date.
