Linda L. Johnson, age 62, of Hicksville, Ohio, died at 1:35 P.M. on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where she was a patient. Linda had been employed as a machinist at Dura Automotive, formerly Universal Tool, in Butler, Indiana, for fifteen years. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2556 in Hicksville and enjoyed working crossword puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren. Linda L. Johnson was born on January 16, 1951, in Defiance County, Ohio, the daughter of Ora Joseph and Thelma Irene (Weldy) Gipple. She is survived by one son, Jonathan (Laura) Freed, of Hicksville, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings, Ed (Sue) Gipple, of Montpelier, Ohio, Shirley Gipple, Veronica “Tootie” (Bud) Yoder, Pat Gipple, Donna (Jim) Wasson, Mary (Rich) Waters, and Denny (Carolyn) Gipple, all of Hicksville, and Don (Becky) Gipple, of Toledo, Ohio. Preceding her in death were her parents, one sister, Vesta Bowen, three brothers, Ora Gipple, Jr., Calvin Gipple and Ron Gipple, and her first husband, Richard L. Havens. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 25, 2013, from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, Ohio, with funeral services at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home with Pastor Jack Teeple officiating. Interment will follow in Ney Cemetery, Ney, Ohio. Memorials are requested to Crippled Children and Adults Society in Hicksville.
