Brooks Reign Fee, 95 years young, of Angola, Indiana, and formerly a longtime resident of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 2:10 A.M. on Saturday, March 16, 2013, at Lakeland Nursing Center in Angola, where he was a patient. A hardworking, honorable, honest, humble man with a great sense of humor, Mr. Fee drove truck for thirty-three years and then was sexton of Maple Grove Cemetery in Edgerton for eleven years. In his retirement he continued to work as a security guard at Defiance College for several years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling and spending time with family and will be missed and remembered always. Brooks R. Fee was born on January 19, 1918, in Butler, Indiana, the son of Herman and Esther (Riser) Fee. He married Ruth Kurtz on September 25, 1970, and she preceded him in death in 1993. He then married Betty Donaldson on December 5, 1996, and she preceded him in death on January 23, 2007. Survivors include two sons, Stephen Fee, of Snellville, Georgia, and Tim (Chris) Fee, of Logansville, Georgia; five daughters, Rosalene (Don) Fuller, of Angola, Linda (Jim) Mazurek, of Powder Springs, Georgia, Joanna (Steve) Davis, also of Snellville, Becky (Tony) DalSanto, of Pasadena, Maryland, and Cindy (Dave) Tinberg, of Berwyn, Illinois; three stepsons, Allen (Jane) Kurtz, of Montpelier, Ohio, Kerry (Teresa) Kurtz and Anthony Kurtz, both of Edgerton; and two stepdaughters, Vickie (Ron) Apt and Paula (Jim) Bowsher, both of Edgerton. Also surviving are one sister, Gloria Oberlin, of Pinellas Park, Forida, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by one son, Ronald Dean Fee, a stepdaughter, Myra Kurtz, and four brothers, Herman, George, Bill and Bob Fee. Interment will be private in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Edgerton and there will be no services.
