Paul L. Stombaugh, age 89, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 6:56 A.M. on Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Bryan Care and Rehabilitation Center, where he was a patient, after an extended illness. Mr. Stombaugh was a 1941 graduate of Bryan High School and was a lifelong farmer. He was a member of multiple farm organizations, including the Farm Bureau, ASC and SCS. He was also a member of Lick Creek Church of the Brethren, where he was formerly a deacon and held numerous positions within the church. Paul enjoyed traveling and was an avid euchre player. Paul L. Stombaugh was born on April 6, 1923, near Bryan, the son of Leo C. and Ada (Good) Stombaugh. He married Lois M. Kuszmaul on December 10, 1943, in Bryan and she survives. Also surviving are two sons, Dennis Paul (Isabelle) Stombaugh, of Akron, Ohio, and Ned Alan (Lorisa) Stombaugh, of Coatesville, Pennsylvania, and two granddaughters, Dawn Stombaugh and Elizabeth Stombaugh. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Todd Stombaugh, a daughter, Janet Stombaugh, and one sister, Florence Grove. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, from 3:00-5:00 P.M. and 6:00-7:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Services will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. in the Lick Creek Church of the Brethren with Pastor Dorothy Ritchey-Moore officiating. Private interment will take place in Shiffler Cemetery near Bryan. Memorials are requested to Lick Creek Church of the Brethren or to the Filling Home of Mercy.
