On Friday, February 15, 2013, Richard W. Weisz died at Hillside Country Living, where he had been a resident since October 2011. He was 92 years old. He was born in Milford Township of Defiance County, Ohio, on October 12, 1920, to Clarence and Selma (Miller) Weisz. His sister was Helen Weisz, who preceded him in death. Richard married Wilma C. Bloomfield on June 13, 1943, and this year would have celebrated 70 years of marriage. They have two children, Cheryl (Ron) Cosner, of Charles Town, West Virginia, and Randy Weisz, of Scarborough, Maine, and was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Weisz. They have four grandchildren, Stephen Cosner, Deborah (Cosner) (Rory) Toth, John Weisz and Van Weisz, and three great-grandchildren, Ryan, Kaylie and Aydan Toth. Richard worked at Aro Equipment Corporation as an associate mechanical engineer for 43 years. Richard and Wilma formerly belonged to the Bryan Methodist Church for several years, then joined the United Church of God in Fort Wayne. He enjoyed his membership in the Spokesman’s Club, was a Charter Member of the Fountain City Square Dance Club, was an avid tennis player, an amateur radio operator, and especially loved music, singing in the church choir for several years. Visitation for Richard will be on Tuesday, February 19, 2013, from 6:00–8:00 P.M. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. with Elder Scott Moss officiating, both at the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Interment will follow at Fountain Grove Cemetery, Bryan. Memorial gifts may be designated for the United Church of God, Hillside Country Living, or Hospital Hospice and Home Health.
