Agnes F. Heisler, age 91, of rural Hicksville, Ohio, died at 4:45 A.M. on Saturday, January 19, 2013, at Bryan Care & Rehabilitation, where she was a resident. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church near Edgerton, Ohio, where she was active in the Ladies Aide Society and Altar Committee. She was a member of the Farm Bureau Council and had been a 4-H advisor. Agnes was a factory worker for Syncro in Hicksville and Fleetwood in Edgerton. Born on May 3, 1921, in Defiance County, Ohio, she was the daughter of Otto G. and Maria “Mary” Sofia (Gerken) Schroeder. She graduated from Mark Center High School. On April 19, 1941, she married Robert A. Heisler in Sherwood, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on August 19, 2007. Agnes is survived by her daughters, Marilyn (Lew) Burggrave, of Hicksville, Ohio, and Carolyn (Jerry) Springer, of Fort Wayne, Indiana; son, Noel (Marti) Heisler, of Oregon, Ohio; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and a sister, Geneva Briggeman, of Iuka, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a granddaughter, six brothers and a sister. Service for Agnes F. Heisler will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. in the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Kurt Letcher officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home in Edgerton, Ohio, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 22, 2013, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Memorials in the name of Agnes F. Heisler may be given to the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Worship for Shut-Ins or a charity of the donor’s choice.
