William H. Orner, age 62, of Bryan, Ohio, went home to meet his Lord at 11:52 A.M. on Saturday, December 29, 2012, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where he was a patient, after a brief illness. Mr. Orner was employed by Dayton Walther Corporation for fourteen years, Fayette Tubular for two years and then at General Products for sixteen years until his retirement in 2004. He was a graduate of culinary school, with a true passion for cooking. Known for his sense of humor, he also enjoyed being with his family and telling stories, watching movies, fishing and his vegetable gardening. William H. Orner was born on July 8, 1950, in Adrian, Michigan, the son of Harvey William and Genevieve (Dippery) Orner. He married Bonnie Lou Goldsmith on December 1, 1972, in Ridgeway, Michigan, and she preceded him in death on January 15, 2004. Survivors include one son, William I. (Crystal Rodgers) Orner, of Edon, Ohio; one daughter, Bonnie (Alvin) O’Brien, of Jacksonville, Florida; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Jerry Orner, of Wauseon, Ohio, Phillip Orner, of Lyons, Ohio, and Lester Orner, in Utah; and one sister, Marjorie Orner, of Wauseon. He was also preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Alfred and Isaac, and two sisters, Jeannette and Audrey. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 4, 2013, from 1:00-4:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home in Edon. Services will follow at 4:00 P.M. in the funeral home on Friday with Pastor Paul Metzger officiating. Interment will be private.
