Beverly Ann Charles, age 76, of Bryan, Ohio, went to her eternal home to be with the Lord in heaven on December 28, 2012. Bev was the only child born to Joe and Blanche (Biddle) Larison on August 12, 1936, in Union City, Ohio. At a young age she had many pets and family friends. Her father, Joe, bought her a circus pony because of her passion for animals. She completed school in Union City then later continued her education in Dayton, Ohio, where she attended beauty school. Bev started her journey in life moving to Rocky Point, Long Island, New York, where the family lived on Long Island Sound. She enjoyed every day with the beauty and love of her family at her side. All friends who knew her enjoyed her beautiful smile, laughter and zest for life. Her passion has always been animals and nature. She worked for several area veterinarians as an assistant in all areas of animal needs. She fostered pets and started the process of finding “ever after” homes. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, she worked as Williams County Dog Warden Assistant and then as Dog Warden. Beverly networked and humanely helped as many dogs as possible to find homes. She became a foster mom to many. She retired due to illness and looked forward every day to family pets and friends. Her journey continued on. Beverly adored her life and passions. Her husband, Albert Charles, and daughter, Kathy Snyder, took care of her with the help of Interim Health Care. She was blessed by their comfort and wants them to know they made her comfortable. She enjoyed her family, most of all her grandsons, David and Noah, and five great-grandchildren. Her parents and sons, Michael and Steven Jessup, preceded her in death. She loved garage sales, reading, and sharing books with friends, fishing, YMCA, traveling and day trips to Allen, Michigan, to the Antique Mall with a great friend, Carol, and going to movies with another friend, Bobbie. Her love and passion for life will be forever missed. Please join the family for a Celebration of Life on Sunday, January 27, 2013, from 1:00-3:00 P.M. at Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio. A private grave side service will be held in the spring at Snell Cemetery near Union City, Ohio. Memorials in the name of Beverly Ann Charles may be given to the Williams County Humane Society.
