Leo D. Thomas

Leo D. Thomas, age 83, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away at 12:51 A.M. on Thursday, December 6, 2012, shortly after admittance to Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan. Leo worked at General Telephone (GTE) in Bryan, Brookville, Sylvania and Bowling Green for over 40 years. He started his career as an Installer and when he retired was a Senior Field Engineer. He was a life member of the National Rifle Association. Born on April 10, 1929, in Butler, Indiana, Leo was the son of Gerald A. and Crystal (Moore) Thomas. He married Laura Jean Rollins on March 14, 1948, in Bryan and she survives. Leo is also survived by his son, Greg (Lucy) Thomas, of Sylvania; daughters, Carolyn (Jim) Mullen, of Lawrence, Massachusetts, and Kelley (Terry) Vance, of Blissfield, Michigan; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Martha Reising, of Elmore, Ohio, Wilma Zeigler, of Archbold, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Mark Thomas, a sister, Cesta Colvin, and five brothers, George, Wayne, Lester, Stanley and Glen Thomas. Visitation for Leo D. Thomas will be held on Sunday, December 9, 2012, from 1:00-3:00 P.M. at the Krill Funeral Home in Bryan. Grave side funeral services will be held on Monday, December 10, 2012, at 11:00 A.M. in Shiffler Cemetery. Memorial contributions in the name of Leo D. Thomas are requested to the National Rifle Association.
