Johnnie P. Oiler, age 68, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 9:15 P.M. on Tuesday, November 27, 2012, in his home after a brief illness. Mr. Oiler was a veteran of the United States Air Force with service during Vietnam. He was a self-employed truck driver and escort driver and was a member of Bryan Eagles Aerie #2233. He also was an avid pool player who only gave up his passion for pool to hunt deer during bow and gun seasons and also enjoyed playing on his Play Station. Johnnie P. Oiler was born on November 13, 1944, in Trimble, Ohio, the son of Alva and Frances (Thompson) Oiler. He married Susan Dortman on May 11, 1991, in Bryan, Ohio, and she preceded him in death on February 28, 2004. Survivors include his children, Jason (Joeanna Foreman) Oiler, of Alvordton, Ohio, Melissa Rice, of Omaha, Nebraska, Kelly Oiler, of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, Carrie (Jerry) Westrick, of Bryan, Mike Kowalis, of Edon, Ohio, Dan Kowalis, of Sheboygan, Wisconsin and Jose A. Figueroa, Jr., who was like a son; seventeen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and his girl friend, Kathy Ottinger, of Bryan. He was also preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 2, 2012, from 1:00-3:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Services will follow at 3:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, with Pastor Dan VanArsdalen officiating. Military rites to follow conducted by Bryan VFW Post #2489. Interment will be private. Memorials are requested to the family to help with expenses.
