Joyce I. (Ordway) Mason, age 61, of Edon, Ohio, died at 4:45 P.M. on Sunday, November 4, 2012, in her home after an illness of six months. She was a 1969 graduate of Edgerton High School and was employed by Lectron in Hamilton, Indiana, for eleven years and then by Air-Way Manufacturing in Edgerton, Ohio, for eleven years until her retirement. She also was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards with family and especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren. Joyce I. Mason was born on September 24, 1951, in Hicksville, Ohio, the daughter of Charles Amos and Pluma Mae (Winebar) Ordway. She married Donald D. Mason on February 26, 1972, in Edgerton, Ohio, and he survives. Surviving in addition to her husband are her children, Amanda (Michael) Lougheed, of Edon, David (Jenna) Mason, of Kennesaw, Georgia, Charles (Jessica Karcher) Mason and Karen (Brian) Connolly, both of West Unity, Ohio, and Jill (Nick) Moore, of Montpelier, Ohio, and nine grandchildren, Webster Robertson, Chase Brandt, Kyle, Logan, Brady and Shelby Mason, Trevor Mason, Kacy and Kelsy Connolly and Baby Moore, who will arrive in December. Also surviving are three sisters, Lorna (Morris) Warner and Donna (Robert) Wrinkle, both of Edgerton, and Nancy Fry, of Butler, Indiana, and two brothers, Gene (Ruth) Ordway and Allen (Jackie) Ordway, both of Edgerton. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Kenneth Ordway, and an infant sister, JoAnn Ordway. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2012, from 2:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home in Edgerton. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, November 8, 2012, in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, with Pastor Nathan Derico officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton. Memorials are requested to Visiting Nurses and Hospice of Williams and Fulton Counties.
