Roger W. Walkup

Roger W. Walkup, age 73, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 4:36 P.M., on Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Roger was a machinist at Aro Corporation for 26 years and worked at Metaldyne in Edon for 10 years, retiring in December 2000. He was a member of Bryan Eagles Aerie #2233 and the Bryan AmVets Post #54. Roger W. Walkup was born on December 29, 1938, in Waldron, Michigan, the son of A. Donel and Mabel D. (Davis) Walkup. He was a 1956 graduate of Waldron High School and served in the U.S. Army with the 101st Airborne Division from 1956-1959. Roger is survived by his sons, Robin (Kelly) Walkup of Sturgis, Michigan and Jeremy Walkup of Fort Wayne, Indiana; two grandchildren, Danielle Walkup of Florida and Ryan Walkup of Sturgis, Michigan and his sister, Karen (Lynn) Paul of Quincy, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Janice Martin. At Roger’s request, there will be no services at this time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Krill Funeral Service, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio. Memorials may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice.
