Kenneth M. Stotz, age 82, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 10:30 P.M. on Sunday, September 9, 2012, at Hillside Country Living near Bryan, Ohio, where he was a resident. Mr. Stotz was a 1948 graduate of Edgerton High School and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving with the United States Marines. He was a lifelong farmer and worked for the Williams County Highway Department after his retirement from farming, was a former member of the Farm Bureau and was also a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church near Edgerton. Kenneth M. Stotz was born on July 9, 1930, near Edgerton, Ohio, the son of George L. and Bertha L. (Fuchs) Stotz. Surviving are his children, Larry (Mitch Swersky) Stotz, of Palm Springs, California, Lori (Doug) Bernath, of Archbold, Ohio, Max (Karen) Stotz, of Skiatook, Oklahoma, and Monty (Christie) Stotz, of Edgerton; six grandchildren, Zak, Kailah and Alex Bernath, Keysto and Miranda Stotz and Vanessa Stotz; three sisters, Kathleen Robarge, of Bryan, Maralyn (Frank) Cape, of Edgerton, and Janis (Sam) Oyer, of Archbold, Ohio. He was preceded in death by five sisters, Ruth Cooley, Elenor Jesse, Phyllis Tonkel, Jean Bowman and Deanna Stotz, and two brothers, Richard and George Stotz. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton. A memorial service celebrating the life of Kenneth M. Stotz will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2012, at 11:00 A.M. in the Zion Lutheran Church near Edgerton with Pastor Kurt Letcher officiating. Grave side services will take place prior to the service, beginning at 9:30 A.M., in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton, with grave side military rites conducted by Bryan VFW Post #2489. Memorials are requested to a charity of the donor’s choice.
