Jerrold David Hughart, age 70, of Kelso, Washington, went home to be with the Lord on August 15, 2012, after suffering an apparent heart attack, resulting in a truck accident near his home in Washington. He was a 1959 graduate of Edgerton High School and served in the United States Marines from 1960-1964. Dave was a qualified welder, receiving certification from Aero Space, and a long haul trucker for approximately forty years. He had a love of cars and auto racing and enjoyed playing cards at friends and family gatherings. His love of the Lord made him special to everyone he met. Jerrold David Hughart was born on December 22, 1941, in Auburn, Indiana, the son of Lafe and Dorothy (Klenke) Hughart. Survivors include his wife of thirty years, Carol; two daughters and a son-in-law, Diane Bordoh, of Findlay, Ohio, and Tami and James Ward, of Ada, Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Shelly Hofson, also of Ada; his stepchildren and their spouses, Joyce and David D’Amore, of Warner Robins, Georgia, Fred and Becky Walters and Ronald Walters, all of Sequine, Texas, James and Charlotte Slagel Walters, of Kelso; three brothers, Richard Hughart, of Hicksville, Ohio, Stanley (Debra) Hughart, of Edgerton, Ohio, and James Hughart, of Ladson, South Carolina; four sisters, Barbara (Gary) Alley, of Hudson, Indiana, Roxanne Fisher, of Bryan, Ohio, Kathrine (William) Teegardin, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, and Connie (Kenneth) Webb, of Escondido, California; and many nieces and nephews. He was also blessed with fifteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Dave also leaves behind many friends across the United States. He was well loved and will be missed, especially by his dog, Buddy. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Jacob David Hughart, and a brother-in-law, Richard Fisher. A memorial service celebrating the life of Jerrold David Hughart will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Zion Lutheran Church in Edgerton with Pastor Kurt Lechter officiating. Interment will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the church one hour prior to the service beginning at 2:00 P.M.
