Irene T. Zyla, age 86, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 11:30 A.M. on Tuesday, August 21, 2012, in her home after an extended illness. Mrs. Zyla was a beautician for many years and owned her own shop in the Chicago area. She was an excellent seamstress who loved sewing and quilting. Irene T. Zyla was born on June 5, 1926, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Stanley and Helen (Chmielewski) Jagielski. She married Edward S. Zyla on October 25, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, and he preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Gloria (Ken) Przybyla, of Bryan, and Suzanne (James) Paese, of Des Plaines, Illinois, two granddaughters, Dawn (John) Psurny, of Johnstown, Ohio, and Kimberly (Dominic) Chiappini, of Channahon, Illinois, and great-grandchildren, Clay, Karlee and Garrett Psurny, Gianna and Joey Chiappini, and her brother, Leo Jagielski of Chicago, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother, Chester Jagielski, sisters, Phyllis Jarsak and Eleanor Jagielski, and a great-granddaughter, Gabriella Chiappini. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 23, 2012, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bryan with Father James Halleron officiating. The family will receive visitors for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 A.M., in the church. Entombment will be in Assumption Cemetery in Glenwood, Illinois. Memorials are requested to Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers Hospital Hospice and Home Health or to St. Patrick Catholic Church.
