Rex A. Snyder, age 61, of Edon, Ohio, died at 7:10 A.M. on Sunday, August 12, 2012, after battling cancer for nine months following a diagnosis giving him two weeks to live. He was a 1969 graduate of Bryan High School and began working at Titan Tire in Bryan in 1975 after serving in the United States Army, retiring this year with thirty seven years of service. He was a member of UAW Local #211 and was a former member of Bryan Lodge #1064. Rex enjoyed fishing and playing golf, though he never was very good, and also was one who loved to tease. Rex A. Snyder was born on April 24, 1951, in Bryan, Ohio, the son of Allan H. and Mary E. Snyder, who preceded him in death in 2000 and 2004, respectively Survivors include one son, Scott (Rachael) Bergdall, of Edon, two daughters, Aubrey Snyder, of Port Clinton, Ohio, and Jessie Main, of Edon, six grandchildren, one sister, Sondra MacEwan, of Fillmore, New York, two brothers, Randall (Kathy) Snyder and Robert L. (Kelly) Snyder, both of Bryan, and his former wife, Jan Snyder, of Port Clinton. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2012, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Services will be held on Thursday, August 16, 2012, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, in Bryan, followed by military rites conducted by Bryan VFW Post #2489 and family service members. Memorials are requested to Stein Hospice or to the Cancer Services Center in Sandusky, Ohio.
