Lavon P. Cox, age 71, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 11:32 A.M. on Friday, August 3, 2012, at Bryan Care and Rehabilitation Center where he was a patient. Mr. Cox was a graduate of Montpelier High School and worked as a machinist with Richmond Machine in Montpelier, retiring with more than thirty years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Marines, was an avid sky diver in his younger years, and was a member of Bryan Eagles Aerie #2233. Lavon P. Cox was born on December 22, 1940 in Montpelier, Ohio, the son of Lloyd C. and Louella M. (Todd) Cox. He is survived by his wife Annie L. (Greer) Smith, whom he married on December 31, 2000. Survivors also include two daughters, Laura (Bryan) Beck, of Montpelier, and Cynthia (Larry) Geren, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, one son Steve Cox in Indiana and four grandchildren. There will no services and interment will be private. Memorials are requested to a charity of the donor’s choice.
