Howard L. Ridgway, age 71, died at 9:45 A.M. on Thursday, July 12, 2012, in his home, after a brief illness. Mr. Ridgway was employed by Bard Manufacturing, retiring in 2006 with thirty-five years of service. He was an avid Ohio State and Ford fan and enjoyed camping and spending time at Huycks Lake in Michigan, where he enjoyed fishing and riding on his pontoon boat. Howard L. Ridgway was born on August 31, 1940, near West Unity, Ohio, the son of Lee Robert and Mary Louise (Bostater) Ridgway. He married Teri E. Hallock on June 7, 1963, in Bryan, Ohio, and she survives. Survivors also include two daughters, Nancy (Gary) Laney, of Antwerp, Ohio, and Mary (Chad) Ordway, of Edon; one son, Charles (Connie) Ridgway, of Edon; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and five sisters, Shirley (Clarence) Harrington, Betty (Ron) Law, Helen Speelman, and Marlene Craig, all of Bryan, Linda (Howard) McMullen, of Hicksville, Ohio, and his beloved dog, Buttercup. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert Ridgway. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 15, 2012, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon. Private grave side service will be conducted at the Edon Cemetery with Pastor Dee Custar officiating. Memorials are requested to the Diabetes Foundation.
