Marilyn Miller, age 81, of Montpelier, Ohio, and formerly a longtime resident of Bryan, Ohio, died at 5:05 A.M. on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Evergreen Manor Nursing Care Center in Montpelier, where she was a patient, after an illness of six months. Mrs. Miller was a 1949 graduate of Edon High School and worked as an assembler at The Aro Corporation, retiring in 1994 with twenty-one years of service. She enjoyed watching birds, travel, fishing and spending time with her grandchildren. Marilyn Miller was born on January 25, 1931, in Edon, Ohio, the daughter of William M. and Verna D. (Barron) Dewire. She married Robert V. Miller on August 30, 1968, in Bryan, Ohio, and he survives. In addition to her husband, survivors include one son, William (Deborah) Connolly, and one daughter, Linda (Gregory) Nofziger, both of West Unity, Ohio, six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, two stepsons, Dane Miller, of Charleston, South Carolina, and Timothy (Connie) Miller, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, six stepgrandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren. Also surviving are one sister, Ruthann (Jim) Mahan-Hurd, of Montpelier, one brother, William Dewire, of Newark, Ohio, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Robert E. Dewire, and one sister, Rosemary Berryman. Private grave side services and interment will take place in the Edon Cemetery with Pastor John Rumple officiating. Memorials are requested to the American Cancer Society.
