Phyllis N. Caperton, age 65, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 11:33 A.M. on Sunday, June 17, 2012, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where she was a patient. Mrs. Caperton was a 1965 graduate of Edgerton High School and was employed by JCIM in Bryan, retiring on September 1, 2009, with forty-one years of service. She was an avid bird lover and was also employed at Ehrman’s Aquarium and Fins and More for seventeen years. Phyllis N. Caperton was born on January 13, 1947, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Herman and Esma (Schoonover) Miller. She married Eunice N. "Jody" Caperton on February 23, 1965, in Angola, Indiana, and he preceded her in death on October 23, 2009. Surviving are two sons, John (Judy) Caperton and James (Julie) Caperton, both of Bryan, Ohio; six grandchildren, John Caperton II, of Bryan, Natasha Weiland, of Edgerton, Ohio, Stephanie Wieland, Misha Caperton and Jessica Sullivan, all of Bryan, and Rebecca Sullivan, of Stryker, Ohio; and five great-grandchildren, Dakota, Alex, James, Davin and Karleigh. A grave side service will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at 1:00 P.M. in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton, Ohio, with Pastor Larry Snavely officiating. Memorials in the name of Phyllis N. Caperton may be given to the Williams County Humane Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
