Robert D. “Bob” Tucker, age 85, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 11:47 P.M. on Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice near Defiance, Ohio, after an extended illness. Mr. Tucker was president of the Boilermaker Local #1492, working at Sifco in Cleveland, Ohio, until his retirement 1992. Robert D. “Bob” Tucker was born on November 10, 1926, in Talbott, West Virginia, the son of Calvin C. and Rurie (Dye) Tucker. He married Ida M. Aronhalt on July 10, 1951, in Morgantown, West Virginia, and she survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Sharon (Larry) Bray, of Montpelier, Ohio, and Leisa (Dan) Nickolson, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, two sons, Larry (Kim) Tucker, of Mansfield, Ohio, and Joe Tucker, also of Fort Wayne, twelve grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, Robert D. Tucker, Jr., in 1982, three brothers, Raymond, Pete and Clyde, and four sisters, Gladys Gaines, Arthie Samantie Metz, Amie Mealo and Marie Dickey. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, from 6:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio. Services will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2012, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan. Interment will follow in Brown Cemetery near Bryan. Memorials are requested to a charity of the donor’s choice.
