Donald "Bill" William Siebenaler

Donald William “Bill” Siebenaler, age 69, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 2:18 A.M. on Sunday, May 20, 2012, in his home after an illness of several months. A 1961 graduate of Edgerton High School, Mr. Siebenaler was a lifelong Edgerton resident and had operated Bill Siebenaler and Sons construction since 1973. He was active in the community, serving on the Board of Public Affairs, the Cemetery Board, the Village Council and also ten years as Mayor. He was also a forty-four year member of the Edgerton Fire Department, retiring this year as Assistant Fire Chief, a position he held since 1992. Bill was instrumental in the construction of the safety building at the Williams County Fairgrounds and donated his service and time throughout the Edgerton Community in building a pavilion at Miller Park, construction of dugouts at the ballfields and sponsoring ball teams. Donald William “Bill” Siebenaler was born on January 9, 1943, in Defiance, Ohio, the son of Donald M. and Dorothy A. (Frager) Siebenaler. He married his companion of fifty-three years, Donna R. Buchs, on July 3, 1965, in Edgerton, and she survives. Survivors also include two sons, Robert (Lisa) Siebenaler and Troy (Leslie) Siebenaler; both of Edgerton; one daughter, Jodi (Jeff) Landel, also of Edgerton; seven grandchildren, Kayla, Jacob and Emma Siebenaler, Halle Siebenaler, and Mallorea, Natalee and Noah Landel; one sister, Dolores Kelley, of Bryan, Ohio; and one brother-in-law, Deloy Fraley, of Hamilton, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Judy Fraley. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, from 2:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, concluding with a tribute by the county fire departments at 8:00 P.M. Services will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2012, at 11:00 A.M in St. Mary Catholic Church, Edgerton, with Father Art Niewiadomski officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Edgerton. Memorials are requested to St. Mary Catholic School, Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers Hospital Hospice or for Melanoma Research at Cleveland Clinic.
