W. Lawrence Koeppe, age 76, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 9:30 A.M. on Friday, April, 13, 2012, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Maumee, Ohio, where he was a patient, after a brief illness. Mr. Koeppe was a graduate of Ney High School and graduated from Defiance College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. During his teaching career, he taught at Stryker High School, McClure High School and then for twenty-six years at Holgate High School, retiring with a total of thirty-five years of service. He also was a farmer and raised and showed Clydesdale horses. He was a member of the Ney United Methodist Church and was a Washington Township Trustee for eight years. W. Lawrence Koeppe was born on January 31, 1936, in Bryan, Ohio, the son of Clifford L. and Eunice (Garber) Koeppe. Survivors include many cousins, friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Roger Koeppe. Services will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at 2:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, with Pastor Ron Adkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Ney Cemetery. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service, from 12:00-2:00 P.M., on Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorials are requested to the Ney United Methodist Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
