Wayne A. Bowsher

Wayne A. Bowsher, age 58, of Edgerton, Ohio, died early on Tuesday, April 3, 2012, in his home. Mr. Bowsher was a 1972 graduate of Caverna High School in Horse Cave, Kentucky, where he was the starting catcher on the 1972 state championship baseball team. He was employed as a salesman with H & W Automotive for thirty-six years. Wayne coached summer recreation softball and also Acme League baseball for many years and umpired high school softball until his final days and each fall worked on the chain gang at the Edgerton High School football games. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and Indians and the Ohio State Buckeyes. For many years Wayne served as president of the Butler, Indiana, Eagles, Aerie 2733, of which he was a longtime member. Wayne A. Bowsher was born on September 11, 1953, in Lima, Ohio, the son of Howard W. and Mary E. (Colgan) Bowsher. He married Susan K. Bowen on October 9, 1976, in Edgerton, Ohio, and she survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Alisa Bowsher, one son, Brian Bowsher, both of Edgerton, three brothers, Robert (Jane) Bowsher and James (Paula) Bowsher, both of Edgerton, and Paul (April) Bowsher, of Butler, Indiana, and one sister, Janice Stephenson, in West Virginia. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 6, 2012, from 2:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton. Services conducted by Butler Eagles, Aerie 2733, will be held on Friday, April 6, 2012, at 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 7, 2012, at Life Changing Realities Fellowship near Edgerton with Pastor Dennis Kutzner officiating. Memorials are requested to the family.
