Ruth A. Schiming, age 94, of Bryan, Ohio, and formerly a long-time resident of Cleveland, Ohio, died at 4:20 P.M. on Friday, March 23, 2012, at Bryan Care and Rehabilitation Center, where she was a patient. Mrs. Schiming was a teller for Union Savings Bank in Cleveland for twenty years and was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Cleveland. After moving to Bryan, she became a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was active at the Bryan Senior Center. Ruth A. Schiming was born on July 15, 1917, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Charles and Martha (Behrendt) Datch. She married William G. Schiming on September 30, 1939, in Cleveland and he preceded her in death on May 1, 1988. Survivors include one son, Richard C. (and wife, Patricia Hargrove) Schiming of Easton, Maryland; one daughter, Donna (Kim) Watkins, of Bryan; one daughter-in-law, Kathy Schiming; five grandchildren, Rachel (Reed) Mulligan, Lawrence Schiming, Kirk (Mary Kate) Watkins, Adam (Portia) Schiming and Cody Schiming; one great-grandson, Bryce Schiming; and one great-granddaughter, Mya. She was also preceded in death by one son, Dale Schiming, one grandson, Aaron Watkins, and two sisters, Esther Christianer and Dorothy Holmberg. Grave side services will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in Cleveland. Memorials are requested to Trinity Lutheran Church in Bryan.
